Welcome to Coconut Nursery Eco Nursery of the Year 2023
Based in a converted factory behind the shops on Stoke Newington Church Street, Coconut Nursery is away from the busy road in a hidden spot surrounded by gardens.
The outdoor play area is safety surfaced throughout and has plenty of natural flora and fauna for the children to explore.
While playing outside, the children can grow vegetables in our Planting Garden, pick pears, apples or plums in our Mini Orchard, investigate sound in the Music and Marvel area, as well as play on the high-quality equipment.
Bright, Airy and Unique
The bright and airy rooms and well equipped to provide a secure and stimulating environment where children are valued as individuals. Along with their friends, children at Coconut build confidence and resilience whilst learning to respect each other and the world they live in.
The nursery has three sections:
The Toddler Room which caters for children aged 1-2 years.
The Middle Room for children aged 2-3
The Pre-school which caters for children aged 3-4 years.
Activities and Experiences
Coconut nursery offers a wide range of unique and engaging activities and experiences as part of the overall planning and day-to-day schedule.
Teachers from outside of the setting visit daily to give our children classes in Spanish, French, Drama, Football and Parkour. Our children are taken on regular outings to the Wetlands, the theatre and the local community.

Congratulations to Katie our manager who has been voted as Co-Chair of the National Day Nurseries Association North London Network.
Hatching Chicks and Butterflies
Ten eggs arrived today which will hatch into chicks this week! We also have five baby caterpillars which will eat and eat and eat until they turn into chrysalides then butterflies. Two lovely opportunities for the children to learn about life cycles through real hands-on experiences.
